The All-Ireland Hurling Championship is the highest level of inter-county hurling competition in Ireland. It is organized by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The first All-Ireland Hurling Championship was held in 1887 and has been held annually since then, except for a few years during the World War.
The record for the most All-Ireland Hurling Championship titles is held by Kilkenny, who have won 36 titles. Cork is close behind with 30 titles, while Tipperary has won 28 titles. Other counties who have won the All-Ireland Hurling Championship include Limerick, Dublin, Wexford, Clare and Galway.
The All-Ireland Hurling Championship is contested by the 14 top teams in Ireland, divided into the Leinster and Munster provinces. The teams play in a knockout format until two teams remain for the All-Ireland Final, which is held in Croke Park in September.
The current champions of the All-Ireland Hurling Championship are Limerick, who defeated Waterford in the 2020 final. The 2021 championship is set to take place over the summer months, with the final set for August 22nd.
